Monday, January 22nd.

Zaleski made it out today, and we made it out into the Canyon for a few runs. Stefan got to test his metal against the tighter trees and was also a good sport picking his way down the cliff bands. I am sure that Stefan did a number of things he would never have done on his skis if it had not been for Z and G. It was all worth it, we got into some more knee deep powder and had large smiles pasted across our faces. Stefan got very friendly with a couple trees, and ended up breaking his collapsible ski pole. Good Karma delivered another set of poles to him for the last run. Stefan stayed in bounds and learned why Gfunk doesn’t normally ski in Steamboat. Z and G made a final run in the Canyon and were able to snag a few clips before the sun finally set. Once back at the house, Brynna was already preparing dinner. The boys went for a soak in the hot tub, then came back to enjoy the delicious Veggie Friendly Chili. Thanks again, Brynna!
Photos from adventures with Paul are available here.

With no new snow in the forecast anywhere except around the Great Lakes, Stefan and G resolve to head back to CA. We’ll keep our fingers crossed for a fresh weekend in Tahoe.

I hear Boston Mills should be open nowadays. Madriver might even be open. I'll bring the Newcastle this time around.
