18" of snow falls at Kirkwood enabling them to open a total of three chairs last weekend! I was there with John and Ben to blast threw the new snow and get the kinks out of our legs that have yearned for the turn for so long. The coverage is thin in the Sierra, much like last year, but the new snow was a lot of fun. I even got a couple chest shots of powder while tear'n down some un-groomed runs at Kirkwood.
