12+ inches of snow has fallen in the last 24 hours and the mountains are a bit whiter now. There is still a lot of rock showing, but that just makes it look gnarly. Dave, John, Sebastian, and I made turns today at Kirkwood. Kirkwood will serve as my homebase this year. Another day of practicing the basics, but also getting a few face shots and lots of partially tracked powder was awesome. Finished the day with some tow skiing. Dave could not perfect the wip-action to propel me up the hill next to the parking lot, but we’ll see if we can’t improve on that next weekend!
